Your Indie Society Needs You
With the onset of the new term and indeed the new year, it is time once again for the Fresher’s Fair. This is the main opportunity for all of the Clubs and Societies at the University to recruit new members. It takes place at the Students Union on the Whiteknights Campus on Thursday 30th of September 1999. The Indie Society will have a stall manned by the best possible team including Dave Parsons, Daphne Teremetz and Paul Wheeler.
Membership fees will be £3.50 for new members or £3 for
those who are rejoining. For your small financial outlay, you will become
a member of the best society in the University. We are hoping to run a
number of trips over the year, to gigs or clubs, in Reading and in London.
As a member, you will receive reduced prices to these events. Your card
will also entitle you to a numerous discounts around the venues in town.

The Indie Society is a great opportunity for (musically) like minded
people to meet up. With Indie Nights held in the Union, we hope that by
joining the Indie Society it will be a welcome break from all the hard
work that you are doing.
